~Kenna's Kritters~pictures a stories~ birds n bloodhounds!

Hello people of BYC! Welcome to my Coop Page! I had another page where I was posting stuff but since so much has changed and stuff it's better that I just start fresh (plus I thing I posted in the wrong forum but oh well)!.... ok so let's start this off by telling you a bit about me and my animals....

I am 18. I do not agree with Joe Biden (say no to Joe ya'll)😂. I am not a technology person at all. I live in Polk City, FL where it's always really hot! I live with my mom, dad and my cousin. When I was really little (like 2-3) we had a couple dogs. As I got a little older (like 4-5) we got 2 ducks. When I was about 8 we moved from our house in lake Wales to a house in Alturas, FL. A new house meant a new school, new friends, new everything. I had a pretty traumatic experience in my new school at age 12 and I developed SEVERE PTSD. I started getting terrible anxiety attacks. My parents didn't really understand what was happening since I hadn't told them about what was going on at school. I started refusing to even go to school because I was terrified to go. My parents tried homeschooling me which worked for a while. My anxiety and PTSD was slowly getting worse and worse and nobody knew but me... I started having "psuedo seizures" shortly after all this stuff happened. I was having them daily. I didn't really understand what was happening to me at the time. I still at age 18 have psuedo seizures though they aren't as frequent since I have gotten so used to my anxiety. I got through my stressful times with my animals. I forced myself to get in the yard and work with my animals. I started to notice pretty quickly that when I forced myself to go and work with the animals my anxiety just kinda started to go away. I turned to animals as my escape. I learned everything I could about nature. Keeping my mind busy with something I love really worked for me. I started getting more animals and eventually got into 4H. I was terrified to go out in the show room with my goat. I developed severe social anxiety along with my PTSD so large groups of people were super scary. I went out there anyways and I worked that goat around the show ring. I found that I actually really loved showing animals! I got into showing rabbits, chickens, pigs and cattle. 4H really did save me. I became involved with my 4H group which forced me to socialize. Since I had researched animals so much my 4H leader actually asked me to teach the other 4H students about livestock. I started teaching the other kids the different parts of the animals, what each part does ect. I eventually at age 14 started letting kids show my goats. They would come to out house to work with their show goat all week long after school. I taught them how to properly walk, groom and stand their goats. I even showed them how to shave their show goats. Anyways.... my anxiety wasn't gone but it was somewhat manageable IF I stayed busy. Years went by and at age 16 I actually had another pretty bad experience (not at school) that caused me to go in a relapse with anxiety. My seizures were back and my anxiety and depression came back 10 times stronger. I was back to square 1. I had to drop out of 4H because my anxiety was simply to much. I battled with my anxiety for a long time. After my 2nd traumatic experience I really began to shut down. I stopped talking to everyone and just felt depressed all the time. We ended up moving again this time to Polk City. Moving this time really helped. We moved on to 5 acres in Polk City with a creek and a pond. I was in heaven there. I love to fish and hunt so this land was just perfect to me. I got my love of nature from my grandma. She knows pretty much every bird and butterfly there is! She is truly amazing and I wouldn't be who I am today without her. At our new place we had enough room for more animals. I had a potbelly pig that I brought with me from my old house and a goat. They loved the new property and so did I. I got them some new friends. Sancho (the pig) was also earless. He was a rescue that was attacked by dogs. He was such a sweet boy though. Sancho needed up passing away because a mean new neighbor didn't like us having a pig. They let our dog out and Sancho was found dead. We know somebody let them out cause we had the gate to his pen wired shut and had 3 other latches on there and they were all undone (not broken somebody actually untwisted the wire and had undone the latches. We never found out who did it exactly but there is no way that dog was able to open that door. Anyways.... fast forward to age 18. Here I am! Age 18 and I still adore my animals. I have learned soooo much over the years! I have learned to butcher my own animals, grow my own vegetables, make jelly, make pickled eggs... I want to learn it all! I make my own recipes. I have alot to learn still but I think I'm on the right path! I am currently researching beekeeping which I'll be starting soon. I have grown watermelon, cantaloupe, squash, cucumber, black eyed peas, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, lettuce, cabbage, peanuts, okra, avocados ect. I have alot more animals now and have owned all kinds of animals since we moved.

We also of course have a bunch of bloodhounds!🐕🐾❤ After moving we became breeders. We have a litter of 10 puppies at the moment. They sure are alot of work but they are so worth it! I get to experience bringing a puppy into the world!

Anyways.... that is what has been going on around here! I will be posting all kinds of stuff here so please make sure you follow this post or whatever and feel free to comment! :) Go to the last page of this article to see what's new!
