Me again
! Okay, so I have been noticing a bit of scrutiny towards eating chickens here. I completely understand, all my chickens are very much loved and my babies, but... we have a LOT of roosters. I personally am a vegetarian, but won’t mind eating meat we raised since I know where it is coming from, and I have kids who eat chicken as well as a teenager who would be willing to handle it all so we could have it for dinner or so. We were just given an absurd amount of chicks a few months ago from someone who said she had hundreds of chickens. She had 25 cockerels that are now getting big and we don’t have room to house them all and we don’t want to put them in with any of our flocks because they all have their own roosters already. I guess I just want to see where everyone stands when it comes to culling their roosters for meat... we are trying to become more self sufficient during these crazy times, and even have a couple milking goats and sheep for wool.
