Miller's South Jersey Coop

What a great job you did, especially for someone who had no experience and no plans.

You may want to swap out the fence with hardware cloth if you have predators, and for in the cold especially need to have 1x2s, 2x4s, or whatever size boards you choose to be sideways.

Pretty nice little coop. I would add more ventilation, and replace the round roosts with flat ones. More photos of the interior would be great also.

With just a couple of changes, this would be a terrific backyard coop. I would use a smaller mesh welded wire for where the 2x4" wire is. If the run were as tall as the coop, cleaning it (or picking up a chicken) would be easier. Also, the roosts should be changed out to flat boards so when the birds roost, their feet are covered by their bodies.

Overall, a pretty good coop for someone that said they had no building experience!
