I would suggest that anyone using these well-presented plans in a hot climate skip the soffit and fascia boards and use hardware cloth to create soffit vents and to also either use a ridge vent, larger gable vents, or both.

This fabulous coop is exactly what I had in mind for ours. Thank you for sharing!

I would love to be able to find lots more coop options with this much detail! We're looking to build a 'bigger, better coop' for our ducks soon, to bring their pool/pond inside, and also give them better shade options - this I think might be our starting point!
