Hello Everyone and welcome to my page.My name is Mary and my Husbands name is David!

We built a wonderful coop 8x12 with a big roost and 8 regular laying boxes and 2 very large laying boxes because we have
5 very large hens that a friend gave us and 2 very large roosters then he gave us a New Hampshire red, a white med
size hen, and a black and white bantham. Then we went to a flea market and bought 8 Rhode Island Red Hens they
are so cute there 5 months old and every once in a while we will get a small brown egg they fit right in
and they play with all of the other hens but they are not happy with the roosters at all in fact they run and
fly all over the place trying to get away. Will have pictures later of the coop and the chickens, and roosters!
I'm a newbie at this, but it has really been fun! We have gone to the flea market again and bought 4 more RIR and the man
told us that they were 4 months old, but when we got home they cheeped instead of clucking and I don't think there as old as the
man said they were.

WELL THE NEW HENS ARE ABOUT 9 MONTHS OLD AND NO EGGS!

BUT THEY SURE KNOW WHERE THE FOOD COMES FROM AND I'M THE TREAT LADY, I TALKED TO THEM, RAN A FAN FOR THEM TO STAY COOL, GIVE
THEM FRESH WATER 2 TIMES A DAY, SOMETIMES WITH ICE, PLAY MUSIC FOR THEM, NEXT I'M GOING TO GIVE THEM HOT PEPPER FLAKES, AND VINEGAR IN THEIR WATER.
OK THEY FINALLY STARTED LAYING GETTING 4 EGGS A DAY IT IS SO EXCITING I CAN'T HARDLY STAND IT I'M LIKE A LITTLE CHILD IN A CANDY STORE
