I was thinking of doing this except with a 35 gallon trash can... I also want to make a waterer similar to this but not exactly sure how it will work just yet. Thanks for the info!!!

Nicely done, if you have a lot of birds and want to make it easy on yourself, you can load this up, easy peasy.
I like the way this sits. I'm looking for one with a rain hat. A larger pan or bowl inverted on top should work well. Any update or improvements?
I have been trying to come up with a good idea for a bulk feeder. Going to use this as a starter. Need a good bulk feeder for out of town times.
