Moved a free old yard barn from local farm to our backyard.We set the yard bard on a hay bail lifter of a tractor and used ratchet straps to secure it for the move down the road. The roof was leaking so my ingenious dad stapled on a soft canopy used on semi trailers. Once we get around to putting on the extra vinyl siding we already have, a new roof will be put on.

The yard barn is 8' x 10'. The inside is divided into two parts, a 4' x 8' coop and a 6' x 8' potting/gardening shed. My husband framed the inside dividing wall and used an old louvered door for the "people door". The rest of the wall is made up of chicken wire to let an electric fan circulate air.
The nest boxes have door I can access from my side with a shelf above it for chicken decorations.

A 4x4 post has hooks attached to it that the waterer and feeder hang from. Also shown is 1 of 2 windows covered in mesh wire. The roof will get a ridge vent when it is replaced. The coop is cool enough with just two small windows and a fan since we are having a mild summer. The chicken pop door is raised by pulley.

There are two roosts set at the same heights to avoid fighting and are removable. A window on either side provides air circulation/venting along with an electric fan.
