Roanoke Virginia Chicken Ordinance

Somewhat generous for a municipality allowing poultry without a permit, but the conclusion drawn about rats is false, as rats multiply at other locations and then are attracted obviously by poultry. They have to come from somewhere. Rodent control is effective, but done at the backyard chicken location is likely reducing populations of rodents that have migrated from adjacent properties that have not controlled the rodents themselves.
