The author explains and recommends a method of dealing with roosters, only to say that it did nothing to better the behavior of her own rooster, or improve her situation and she ended up killing him. So basically, the only point she says works permanently, is advise nr. 5.
There are alot of different ways to deal with a rooster that acts nasty. Start with understanding why and ask yourself if you really want this. More detail would be helpful.
