Muffet
Muffy
Muffy is a Blue Cochin x Rhode Island Red Cockerel.
Muffy comes first, because he and Muncie were the first chickens we obtained. He is one of the two "wecouldn'twaits". This is a nickname given to our two Cochin x RIR crosses. They were sold to us as females. A local woman said she could "wing sex" them. She would take them back if they were cockerels. We couldn't wait for the Wyandottes that were arriving in a few days.
You can't really see it in the above picture, which is about a week-and-a-half old, but Muffy here is an obvious cockerel, just like his brother, Muncie, who is about a week younger.
Muffy was returned to the local woman in April along with Muncie. I no longer own either of them.

Muncie
Muncie is a Blue Cochin x Rhode Island Red Cockerel.
Muncie is the younger brother of Muffy. You can't see it in this picture, but he really took on an obvious roo look. He, like his brother, was rather mean to the other chickens.
Muncie, along with Muffy, was returned in April. I no longer own him.

Martha
Martha is a Black Laced Gold Wyandotte.
Martha is a Hatchery BLGW. She may not have perfect lacing,but she's really pretty! She's skittish, along with all my other Wyandottes, but more trusting than the others. I'm working on her.

Margarie
Margarie is a Black Laced Silver Wyandotte.
Marge definitely wins worst lacing of the year award. I was expecting them to have poor lacing, being hatchery stock, but WOW! Let's hope this improves a little. Marge is fond of jumping. Very fond of jumping and flapping and scaring the other chickens. She's also adept at worm finding, and does not care to share.
She's not exactly friendly, and pretty easy to catch. Her lacing has improved slightly since 3 weeks.

Mildred
Mildred is a Black Laced Gold Wyandotte.
Mildred is Martha's younger sister. Not much to say here. They act the same. She's not friendly but more trusting than the other Wyandottes.

Margaret
Midge
Margaret is a Black Laced Silver Wyandotte.
An ordinary, average-looking chicken by day, and a master escape artist at night. She is the most difficult to catch, and is EXTREMELY unfriendly. She is also prone to panic attacks.
