I recently separated my rooster from the hens. some of the had really bad bare backs from the rooster and they didn't look good at all so I decided to separate him from the hens tell there backs started looking better. another reason is because i wasn't getting egg production like a wanted to. i have 12 hens and for a good amount of time I was only getting 5 or 6 eggs a day. about a week after i separated the rooster from the hens i was getting 7-10 eggs per day
my questions are, could the rooster have been causing stress on the hens to where they wouldn't lay? how do I get my hens to start looking healthier quickly?
