The Belgian Liège chicken (often called Liège Fighter or Combattant de Liège) is a rare, traditional breed from Belgium.

One of the oldest European game-type chickens
Bred historically for strength and endurance (not for fighting today, but that’s its heritage)

Large, tall, and very muscular
Upright posture with a powerful chest
Small pea comb (good for cold weather)

Temperament
Alert and dominant, especially roosters
Not ideal for mixed flocks unless managed carefully as all breeding projects should.
Hens are calmer but still confident
