History: He was born as the only human in a family of mages. it didn't stay that way long when his father died and passed his powers down to him. He lost his family to the AMS and in part to himself. His father’s powers were exceptionally strong and while Maddox did his best to keep them in check he failed. When he saw what the AMS was going to do to his family he burned out. The resulting wave of Fire killed his family (who were not fire mages) and the AMS at the same time. He was rescued by an elder who was to slow to try and help, but saw the situation play out. He helped the now broken man learn to control his powers before bringing him to the mage house. Maddox is still the broken man he was when he lost his family; he just suppresses it on the surface. He chooses not to think about it, lest his powers take over.

History: She was born and raised in a rough city, she has done some illegal things. When she about 14 she was actually snagged by the government and she still is haunted by the things she went through there but she by some miracle got free.

Her parents also died of heart attacks, due to their very poor health, leaving her alone on the streets as a teen. She befriended an Earth mage and eventually fell in love with him, only to get her heart shattered in the end as he dried her of attention. When she does anger, caution is required, because she has a tendency to start physical skirmishes in an impenetrable red fog of grieved rage and not yield until her opponent is seriously harmed- she truly isn't herself when fighting. Petrified of using her element due to her belief that killing someone is inevitable. Inwardly, there is an inexorable war of rage and tears, due to holding a lethal secret.
Appearance: Very light-skinned girl of complete Icelandic heritage. 5'10 tall, slender, and moderately-thick brown hair. Gray eyes that have tiny flecks of gold in the iris. A pure white scar runs down the side of her neck and down her left arm- terribly self-conscious of it for reasons unknown. Usually seen wearing one of the woven shaws customary to her country.
History: Aska was born into a full family of water elements, the stereotypical mages of Iceland. When her element revealed itself, Aska was elated, but her elation slowly turned to shame as her family's disappointment and scorn at her unusual power. She did her best to hide it throughout her childhood, but insecure guility got the best of the young girl, and she began to use it more and more as she aged into an rebellious young teenager. Her mother pleaded with her to keep her ostentatious difference under wraps, but Aska paid no heed. Eventually, her father blatantly threw her out of her own home for causing shame to the family name. Ashamed and enraged, Aska lurked in the frozen plains nearby for months, keeping a secret connection with her two younger brothers who also snuck out food to her. They practiced their elements together, her youngest brother particularly enraptured by Aska's fire-

During an unheedfully intense session of wielding flames, things went horribly awry and Aska's brother was burned alive. Aska immediately fled, not fearing for her own life, but abhorred at what she had become and mortified that she had murdered her own brother. Her thoughts lingered on the brink of suicide many times, and she neared death even more by a constant lack of food in the wilderness. Every day was a pain to face. Eventually, Aska somehow made it down to the United States, hitching onto trains and boats whenever convenient. She knew all to well that her entire kind was being hunted, and to walk alone surely meant imminent death. Fire had become poison to her, and the very sight of it, whether it be of her own creation or otherwise, drives her to unintelligible muttering and sobbing. Death had become a temptation, a temptation almost too hard to fight, and Aska nearly gave herself up to the mobs that hunted her multiple times. For now she still walks the shadows, occasionally hearing a whisper of a safe haven for mages, but unsure if she even wants to rescue herself: haunted by the flame-

History: She was born an ordinary person to a single mother that lover her very much. She was given her powers by a mage who had been attacked by the AMS and was dying. She was only 13 years old and had been walking home from school. The mage had gone so far as to apologize to her when he passed his powers on to her. She had no idea what had happened, and although she felt different she had no idea that she was now a mage. For a short time she lived on as if nothing changed. Then one day she got upset at another girl when her mother came to pick her up from school. The overwhelming emotions caused her new powers to surface and a great storm was called. Her mother tried to protect her from the other people who know knew what she was and wanted to hurt her. Unable to control it she ended up killing her mother and severely wounding several other people. She was terrified and ran, she lived on the streets as far away from people as she could for several years. When she heard about the government she attempted to contact them and eventually they came and got her. She went willingly, she was scared of being around people, and she was scared of herself. Under her demand they kept her heavily drugged until she could cope and deal with her powers. Lincoln developed a genuine friendship and protectiveness of her, given her horrible story. She is there happily and always wants to bring others to their cause.

History: Timothy had been accepted into his family as a mage, but his brother who was much older than he was was the one that ruined him because of his magic. It was always Timothy this, Timothy that, Timothy was their gifted child, he was so special. Timothy’s brother, Edward, wanted to ruin him.
Edward went into the military when he was young, wanting to fight in the war and serve his country. When he came back from war years later, Timothy was still an impressionable kid, and Edward had lots of film from the war that others had taken.
When Timothy’s parents were gone, Edward showed him all of the film that definitely wasn’t child-friendly, and gave him a little speech that Timothy remembers well, but refuses to tell anyone about.
His brother left a terrible impression on Timothy throughout his life, relentless with his quest to destroy Timothy’s childhood, and eventually Timothy descended into depression, insomnia, and many other unhealthy mental conditions. The images of blood and gore he had seen and been exposed to made him become obsessed with it, and in 2003 he was diagnosed with clinical insanity. He was left to his own accords, because insane asylums were mostly shut down because they were considered unethical, and eventually found the government to help him if he helped them, by becoming their ultimate killer and worsening his condition, but still having their help and care (mainly medication) that he couldn’t provide himself with.
For 14 years he helped the government in the most violent ways, and his condition isn’t any better, especially when they decide not to allow him to take any medication to calm his symptoms.

When she does anger, caution is required, because she has a tendency to start physical skirmishes in an impenetrable red fog of grieved rage and not yield until her opponent is seriously harmed- she truly isn't herself when fighting. Petrified of using her element due to her belief that killing someone is inevitable. Inwardly, there is an inexorable war of rage and tears, due to holding a lethal secret.

History: Aska was born into a full family of water elements, the stereotypical mages of Iceland. When her element revealed itself, Aska was elated, but her elation slowly turned to shame as her family's disappointment and scorn at her unusual power. She did her best to hide it throughout her childhood, but insecure guility got the best of the young girl, and she began to use it more and more as she aged into an rebellious young teenager. Her mother pleaded with her to keep her ostentatious difference under wraps, but Aska paid no heed. Eventually, her father blatantly threw her out of her own home for causing shame to the family name. Ashamed and enraged, Aska lurked in the frozen plains nearby for months, keeping a secret connection with her two younger brothers who also snuck out food to her. They practiced their elements together, her youngest brother particularly enraptured by Aska's fire-
Ironically enough, fire proved to be his fate.
During an unheedfully intense session of wielding flames, things went horribly awry and Aska's brother was burned alive. Aska immediately fled, not fearing for her own life, but abhorred at what she had become and mortified that she had murdered her own brother. Her thoughts lingered on the brink of suicide many times, and she neared death even more by a constant lack of food in the wilderness. Every day was a pain to face. Eventually, Aska somehow made it down to the United States, hitching onto trains and boats whenever convenient. She knew all to well that her entire kind was being hunted, and to walk alone surely meant imminent death. Fire had become poison to her, and the very sight of it, whether it be of her own creation or otherwise, drives her to unintelligible muttering and sobbing. Death had become a temptation, a temptation almost too hard to fight, and Aska nearly gave herself up to the mobs that hunted her multiple times. For now she still walks the shadows, occasionally hearing a whisper of a safe haven for mages, but unsure if she even wants to rescue herself: haunted by the flame-

History: She was born an ordinary person to a single mother that lover her very much. She was given her powers by a mage who had been attacked by the AMS and was dying. She was only 13 years old and had been walking home from school. The mage had gone so far as to apologize to her when he passed his powers on to her. She had no idea what had happened, and although she felt different she had no idea that she was now a mage. For a short time she lived on as if nothing changed. Then one day she got upset at another girl when her mother came to pick her up from school. The overwhelming emotions caused her new powers to surface and a great storm was called. Her mother tried to protect her from the other people who know knew what she was and wanted to hurt her. Unable to control it she ended up killing her mother and severely wounding several other people. She was terrified and ran, she lived on the streets as far away from people as she could for several years. When she heard about the government she attempted to contact them and eventually they came and got her. She went willingly, she was scared of being around people, and she was scared of herself. Under her demand they kept her heavily drugged until she could cope and deal with her powers. Lincoln developed a genuine friendship and protectiveness of her, given her horrible story. She is there happily and always wants to bring others to their cause.

They have been living at the government for quite a while, and while his sister is content there, Luka secretly feels he is treated like an object and wishes to escape.

Personality: Other than being scarred for life and clinically insane, Timothy has some sort of morbid ingeniousness about him, and is incredibly adaptable and loves to observe and learn. Timothy is still human (technically), so he is not emotionless, and there is always some shadow of sorrow behind his eyes, but he only represents himself with reckless anger.
Appearance:
History: Timothy had been accepted into his family as a mage, but his brother who was much older than he was was the one that ruined him because of his magic. It was always Timothy this, Timothy that, Timothy was their gifted child, he was so special. Timothy’s brother, Edward, wanted to ruin him.
Edward went into the military when he was young, wanting to fight in the war and serve his country. When he came back from war years later, Timothy was still an impressionable kid, and Edward had lots of film from the war that others had taken.
When Timothy’s parents were gone, Edward showed him all of the film that definitely wasn’t child-friendly, and gave him a little speech that Timothy remembers well, but refuses to tell anyone about.
His brother left a terrible impression on Timothy throughout his life, relentless with his quest to destroy Timothy’s childhood, and eventually Timothy descended into depression, insomnia, and many other unhealthy mental conditions. The images of blood and gore he had seen and been exposed to made him become obsessed with it, and in 2003 he was diagnosed with clinical insanity. He was left to his own accords, because insane asylums were mostly shut down because they were considered unethical, and eventually found the government to help him if he helped them, by becoming their ultimate killer and worsening his condition, but still having their help and care (mainly medication) that he couldn’t provide himself with.
For 14 years he helped the government in the most violent ways, and his condition isn’t any better, especially when they decide not to allow him to take any medication to calm his symptoms.
