Summary
Flock of 9 (8 hens and 1 Rooster), Chocolate labrador, Australian country property and hand built chicken coop.
Friday 1st of July
Today we made a number of modifications to our coop aimed at making the run more entertaining and keeping the inside warm for seasonal breezy nights.
A spiral staircase on the centre upright!
Our chickens have started moulting during winter, so in order to keep them warm during the cold and windy nights we have decided to cover up both windows in order to keep out cool drafts while our flock sleeps. We used an old sign and a sheet of plywood.
While their coop was occupied the chooks took the opportunity to explore the garden.
