Such wonderful insight into chicken behaviors! I didn't realize what I observed in our growout pen was SOI, but in reading this, particular chicks/chickens come to mind. Now I've got colored rings around them in my mind.

Very true, most times no need to separate the bully hen if multiple feed and water stations are out there, or just spread the treats around.
