By the time we are going to take them to the coop/ dog run area it will be the end of October. We live in Huntsville Utah and it gets pretty cold at night but we do have it enclosed plus a enclosed coop inside the enclosed dog run. Will they be ok to put out there permanently at the end of October or will it be too cold for 9 week old chicks? We don’t plan to use any form of heat source due to he dangers. But we are hoping the enclosing it will be enough. When we first got chicks we got them at 5 weeks in June and we put them out in the coop right away they all grew up fine and are almost full grown now. But I worry with the colder coming and these girls being so young. Can’t imagine keeping them in my house after even 8 weeks old in their brooder.
