I made a diy incubator that holds a dozen or so eggs but it doesn't have an automatic turner so I turned them all manually in an egg roller tray.Wish I'd know how important it is to turn them at the same time every day.I'll schedule my next hatch better! They're due to hatch soon.

Very educational and well-written explanation of the importance of turning eggs while incubating.

One thing I'll note too that the first week is most important, and the importance level goes down as the chick grows. It's still important to turn them though. We have no problems doing a 5-day lockdown as they are more mobile and won't get stuck during that last week. (We've had silkies hatch rarely on day 18, but many times on day 19).
Well written, easy to understand article explaining the importance of turning eggs.

Well written and informative info on hatching eggs! I enjoyed it! 😊
Well-written article! I liked the comparisons of other things to the embro and turning. It gave a fresh perspective that helped better explain why egg turning is necessary. Article also covered how to turn eggs, which is helpful for beginners (and even those who have been doing it for awhile).
Loved this article! Never fully understood the importance of turning eggs, but now I do! Thank you!☺️
