In 2013 my wife and I decided to move to the Wine Country of Temecula, CA. We had lived in the city for about 15 years, and were limited to 2 chickens by city ordinance (we had 5).
During the late summer and early fall of 2014, after many months studying the coops on BYC, I decided to build a modified version of Rick's-Chic-Condo https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/ricks-chick-condo.
We decided to put it on one of the only "flat" spots on the property.

The walls are up and front porch is done. "Wine Down Cottage" our weekend rental
is in the background. Our guests love our chickens and the fresh eggs.

Siding is almost done, automatic door installed, and OMG we have SHADE! We finally get to work in the shade,
it was high 90's to low 100's. What! Now we get to go on the roof.
Paint and roof are getting done. The colors you ask? I went with KFC Red and KFC White,
I found the colors online in a set of plans for a KFC remodel.
More paint, and hardware cloth going on.

Roof is on, hardware cloth on and around coop. Doors to coop made from 1x6 rough redwood (not the fencing 1x6).
Moving day, everyone seems to approve.
The girls are getting used to the new nesting boxes, while we still have some trim to paint.
