I am a stay at home mom of a 10ryr old son, 7 yr old daughter and I have been married for 10 yrs to an amazing man. I am new at being a chicken mommy, and ive fallen in love. We got our first 6 chickens (about 2 1/2 months old) about 4wks ago. A few different breeds. Well, now I am up to 16, hehe!! Our first six were 4 ameraucanas, 1 polish, 1 rhode island red all of which have not been sexed yet. We have now added 1 rhode island red hen, 3 black bantam hens, 3 braham hens, 2 silkie hens, and 1 silkie rooster. I have so much to learn and Im so happy I found BYC. It has been such a big help!!

lol true!! But the 1st 6 arnt sexed yet and may end up being roos so I may have to get rid of some... I am getting 2 hens that are already laying and then I am done. No more for us.. Atleast all 6 bantams equal in size to my 1 rhode island red hen. lol

Dont want any breeding/hatching, or not allowed to have roo's(rooster)?
