We banded this Pygmy doe's (Rebeccah) horns 10/4...and here's the progress as of today. Seems to be working well...

AFAIK they won't regrow. The man who taught us how to do this had done several of his does, and none of them had scurs. I suppose if they do regrow, we'll have to use the iron to kill the growth cells, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
 
Nope, you'll have to Google it. I wasn't willing to try it until we were able to find a reputable producer who had hands-on experience to show us what to do and how it worked. It's not fool proof, not painless...but useful to know about. Poor Becky is our guinea pig.
 
thanks for the info I may be interested in trying this. My luck with the iron did not work at all.
 
i don't have any goats but plain on getting some soon! but why do you want to take off the horns? and when they do fall off do you have to put anything on them?
