Everyone keeps mentioning water wigglers, and I'm confused.

Do you mean the jiggly things that go in bird baths to keep them from freezing, or the children's toy rubbery can't-hold-it thing? How do these get used for incubating? I can see a use for both, actually. The bird bath one for agitating water and helping raise humidity, the toy one for helping maintain normal temps.

So..

Help? What is it and how do you use it?
Thanks!

AWESOME! Thank you! I was trying to figure out what the heck you'd use one of those for and that picture explains it perfectly.

ok so you use the water wriggler to get a more excact temp of what it would be inside the egg? That is so cool I have never seen that before! I think my Ds has one but I dont have the temp that would be inserted into it, but really a great idea!

Go to the petstore in the reptile section. They have pretty decent thermometers with probes for about $10.

spookyevilone, Thank you for asking this question I was wondering the same thing. I know someone else on BYC said you can use a ziplock bag with water in it. Speckledhen Thank you for posting the pic, I was having one of my more blonde moments as to how I would use the wiggler.
