I got 6 three day old chicks from TSC on 3/20. They had their Cornish Rocks mixed in with all the other chicks
so there is a good possibility that I have some meaties. 2 of the 4 yellow chicks that I got are growing quite a bit faster than everyone else. They are very "fleshy" looking. I also have an EE and a New Hamp Red in the brooder that are 5 days older than the yellow/white chicks. The EE and NHR are a little bit smaller than the white chicks.
Here all the chicks are at 12 and 17 days old. Take a look and let me know what y'all think. TIA!
All of the chicks...
4 yellow/white mystery chicks, that could be Cornish Rocks, at 12 days old
2 yellow/black(white/black) very small chicks, that might be Silver Lakenvelders, at 12 days old
1 EE at 17 days old
1 NHR at 17 days old
The yellow/white chick between the 2 small chicks (top right) is quite a bit smaller than the other yellow/white chicks, and it isn't feathering out as fast either.
3 of the 12 day old mystery whites with the 17 day old EE & NHR (12 day old SL? chick at top right)
12 day old mystery white beside 17 day old EE
Please say there aren't any Cornish Rocks!
