Thanks, raroo, because once again your pics make me question mine being Cornish Rocks. Yep, mine are 13 days old today. The legs on your chicks were HUGE at that age... and so much more orange than the legs on mine.
I wonder what kind of white chicken, that isn't a CornishX, would grow faster than EE and NHR chicks...
I'm going to go get the biggest one and get some good, close-up pics of her. Be back soon.

Those are old pics of my 5 month old crosses that I'm keeping as pets. Lets see, I believe they were just off their regular 20% chick starter and on to an 18% grower.
Okay, for reference, the following pics are of the white chick at the bottom left, the one with NHR looking at her face... and probably thinking, "What kind of chicken are you?"
Here she is today at 13 days old
In my hand (I do not have small hands)
I thought about White Rocks but every pic I've seen of the chicks shows little gray spots on them. <shrugs>
The legs don't look big enough, you're right. They look too slender.
She's definitely waaaay smaller than mine were at 13 days.
Perplexing little things, but she sure is cute!
Here's hoping!
"Though its economic dominance was short lived, the Delaware still makes an excellent dual-purpose bird. It has well-developed egg and meat qualities, and a calm and friendly disposition. The breed is noted for rapid growth and fast feathering of the chicks. Cocks grow to 8 pounds and hens to 6 pounds."
