Chick With Curled Toes

I have 14 chicks a week old today and one of them has had curled toes from the beginning but it's gotten worse and the poor little thing is having trouble walking--she just kind of hops around because they're curled on both feet. Another one's are slightly curled but not as bad and only on one foot. Anyone had this before? I wonder what causes it and what can be done as they get bigger?
 
Yes, this is common. You need to make some duct tape boots or moleskin boots for the little fellow to get his toes straightened out.
