I lost my SLW roo, so, I let one of my GLW roos have the hens. Here is the result:

The cockerel looks like a SLW with silver tips on the feathers. The pullet looks like a GLW, with faint silver on tsome feather tips. Just though I'd post this, in case anyone wants to see them. They are about 7 weeks.

I'm not sure if it's sex-linking. How many other chicks did you hatch out from this breeding? If it were only 2, then it might be that it was just coincidence.

Silver is a sex linked gene so this indeed was a sex linked mating of a gold roo x silver hens= all sons silver, all daughters gold.

Same concept as breeding RIR roo over BR hens.. (barred sons, not barred daughters)

Thanks for posting the pics- it's a very cool pictorial example.

My 2 slw from you are both roos!

If, you still have them, I was wondering how many of the BOs turned out to be roos? The only one I kept turned out to be a pullet.

Oh!!! and i did get an easter egger!!!!! I think its a girl!!!

I meant to post back last night before I went to bed, but decided to not get out of bed once I was there.

Yeah, the silver laced would have caused the sex-linking. Kudos to you and those are some MAJOR cute chicks!
