My duckling that were due on the 1st or so hatched today! I went out side and my little mama had 11 ducklings by her side!
Considering I have 3 males, Im not sure which exactly sired each duckling but I have an inkling considering they come in three different colors.
Mom is a Pure Buff,
Babies are either:
Buff x Mallard
Buff x Domestic bibbed mallard
Buff x MallardxBuff
Well on 5/2 I came home and now I am three ducklings short. I found a 5 ft and a 4ft rat snake in my ducklings enclosure and the 5fter had three little bumps. They are both now rotting on our burn pile. I hate wild mice. Hate them . I know its a strong word, but as we were looking/killin the snakes, I counted 7 mice running for cover.
My lil mama and her 8 remaining ducklings are now 2 ft off the ground in a 3 x 2 cage double wrapped in rat wire.
