My poor little buff orp is the object of my BSL female hen's attention. Every chance she gets, the BSL pecks the BO until she's bloody. We keep them separate but accidents happen and they wind up together sometimes.
The last time the BSL got to the BO she drew blood and pecked up her neck/head quite a bit. I was out inthe yard drinking a glass of wine and holding the BO, comforting her. She was really interested in my wine, so I let her check it out. That bird took 3 big beaks of wine!!
I don't blame her!!
