go to the sale page on my website...I have photos showing the difference in feather color on IB and Black Shoulder male and female juveniles. Unfortunately it can't be done as early with Blues as with BS - about 4 months is the earliest you can be sure and sometimes even then it's iffy.

I can tell on a lot of them about 10 or 12 weeks old and maybe sooner on some if i pay attention. I can tell on the blues and pieds etc. when the hen start loosing the male bars in the wings. I can tell on blackshoulder when they start losing the female color and getting male color. It's funny that the blues all have male color when they are small and the blackshoulders all look like females when they are small.

On younger peachicks(blues) the males have red tint in their flight feathers.

In Indian blues, males will have burnt sienna red on flight feathers, were females have a spotty brown.
What about on white ones? I just got my first peachick and it's a white one. 'He's' 4 days old right now. Will it be 4 months or more before I can tell? By the way, any tips or helpful hints on raising 'him' will be greatly appreciated. Is there a link or something with basic care of peachicks? He's with 2 baby turkeys right now. Thanks!!
Sorry on whites it may be a year, unless you have both male and female same age to compare.
What about pieds? Is it a year on them also? I'm getting a 4 day old pied on Thur. I'm also wondering if there's a good link or something where I can find out the best care/feeding for them? I've heard they're very fragile and I certainly don't want to lose one of them.
