Just yesterday I was passing on congrats! to a fellow chicken lover who got her 1st egg. And, guess what! when I got home last night and promptly went out to say HI to the girls there was this beautiful small brown egg!!! I think that maybe my Single Comb Brown Leghorn laid it since she was coming back into the coop and going for the nesting box and she has been sitting in there in the mornings when I come out to check on them. So exiciting - don't even want to crack it open.
