A few years ago I saw a clothes pin bag made from a toddler sized dress. I found one at a Second Hand Store that worked for about three years. It was a cute little denim skirted dress with a flowered top.

Well, it finally got pretty faded, so this week I went looking for a new little dress to replace it.

I found the cutest dress!!

Here is the back of the dress.

It was very easy to make.

I decided to crochet over the hanger, but I may change it if I can find a nice pink plastic child size hanger.

..that is super cute..the Amish in our area all have little dress clothespin bags that they make but they are not that cute!!!!

I was so inspired I drug out my sewing machine and wiped off the 5 inches of dust and made myself one this afternoon.

That dress makes a perfect clothespin bag. You did a great job and the crocheted hanger looks nice.

My bag is made from 2 different quilt blocks, but I might try this when I need a new one.

OK, for the sewing impaired, how much would one of those cost me. Mine is all to shreds and I've got it held together with clothespins LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL!!!! Go to goodwill and get a couple of little dresses and practice making some, who knows you might be able to knock out enough for Christmas presents!! I'm thinking new clothes pins, the little dress bag, some "green" laundry detergent you make yourself and all in a nice laundry basket!! Awesome present..get to work girl!!
