I didnt know where else to post this, so I thought this would be the best place.

I bought a hovabator and when it arrived the plug was missing. I contacted the person and she is said she sent it out on Monday. Well my eggs arrived today and I still dont have the plug. So Im starting to panic a little(okay alot!

) as I really need to get these eggs in the bator pretty soon! Where can I get a replacement cord for this at? I need it like yesterday, so I dont think it would be a good idea to buy one online. Seeing as how it wouldnt get here in time. Is there something else I can replace it with? Like another plug that would work in its place? Can someone please help?

No one knows where to get a fast replacement part? Is there anything I can use instead?

You're talking about the electric plug. Right? You can cut the plug and cord off the lamp you hate or some unused appliance and wire it in where the existing cord is attached. Or you can hit a hardware store tomorrow am and pick up a replacement cord. Take the 'bator with you and maybe a helpful clerk will show you what you need to do or possibly even hook it up for you.

The thing is I dont have any cord at all. Its the part that plugs into the bator to turn it on. Hopefully calling around somewhere I can find one. I hope these eggs dont go to waste!

don't panic. don't forget that a chicken will be sitting on eggs up to 2 weeks old by the time she's finished laying a clutch. another day or two out of the bator probably isn't going to hurt them.

I was going to suggest an appliance store but it seems you have already tryed
that
so all Iwill say is Good luck.if you lived closer
I would lend you mine.

Thanks everyone. I called around today, but no one sells those incubators, or any of the parts for them either. I just put up an ad on craigslist so hopefully

someone will see it. The only thing is that Im not sure how long these eggs have been sitting and Im pretty sure they wont last another week if I were to buy another plug online. So Im keeping my fingers crossed that I can find one local(borrowed or buy) or the replacement one gets here soon.

Thanks Sissy, thats nice of you.
