We are blessed to have a flock of French Black Copper Marans who meet the French standards. which are anticipated to adopted to be our American standards. These were raised on our farm since day one and are from the flock of beloved Copper King here on BYC. All have the correct plumage and height and stature including feathered feet and pumpkin eyes.

They are from the Wade Jean Line, c-1 feathered feet line.

I have an order cancelled for this coming Wednesday due to an individual's work schedule.

Our prices are $75 a dozen which includes careful packing, handling, priority shipping and confirmation delivery. I can also send 6 eggs for $40 all inclusive of shipping. This is delivered within the continental United States. We can purchase insurance if you desire and will pass the actual cost of the insurance on to you. For the month of August, I am lowering the price of one dozen to $65, all inclusive and the price of 6 eggs to $35.

Please let me know if you have any questions and have a blessed day.

WOW ! I just bought a beautiful Black Copper Maran through Uncle Henry's and she told me how much these eggs go for for hatching...I guess I couldn't believe it...but here it is...$75 a dozen. I don't have a roo so this is not an option for me but...I still have a really pretty lady - her name is Pebbles

! And to think - I only got her because the lady I got her from couldn't catch the other one she had intended to sell me...I paid $5 apiece and I got 1 Black Copper Maran and 3 Cuckoo Marans...so $20 for all four. Good deal?

Actually my eggs are exactly the same coloration as a lady across the border who sells her for $120 a dozen. I've kept my prices low to help others afford them and I tuck in extra(s) when they are available on the day of shipping. The baby chicks in our state sell from $15 to $20 each at pick up.

I cannot judge if your birds are a deal or not. A BCM is not always the same. Some folks have a mixed flock, some feathered and some not. The feathered Marans mixed with a non feathered may produced a feathered baby but the baby when it grows up will not uniformly produced feathered babies and so the value of these birds is much less. It is definitely not a French standard birds.

Well I could wax on, but I need to feed the birds, the goats, the bunnies, etc and get ready for Church.

Are you interested in purchasing some purebred eggs?

Please let me know. And please note that $75 is the regular price. I have a price reduction going on now.

Thanks so for your interest.

We also have other hatching eggs that may be of interest to you. Please do let me know.

Have a blessed day!

If you have a good blood line and birds are all bread to standard, $75 is a great price. Lot of folk paid more than that for 6 eggs and a promise that they carries the dark egg genes.
I think it all come down to what you want, I select the best I can afford and try to keep/improve the breed, I can't deal with "could be a mixed of other breed" or anything like that. And I think Bargain have very good price and lots of good seloection.
When I empty out my bator, I might be interesting in getting some eggs from you.

Thank you for your comments and yes the price on these quality eggs is well worth it. My only regret when I bought the chicks is that I didn't have enough funds to buy 2 dozen straight runs. They are beautiful, friendly and healthy and literally come up to me to be petted.

I thank you BYC for your continued orders of these. If there are any further questions about our breed, please do feel free to pm me. We full time farm a small farm in Bowdon. As we say here, the animals get their food, care, rest, exercise and shelter before the adults do.

Have a blessed week.

I am caught up on orders and can ship some more next week on these.

These are just gorgeous and lay a pretty egg. Fertility has been reported outstanding to me.

We treat our animals with much love, great grains and feed and safety from predators. We have mobile tractors that are moved regularly so that they have free access to grass and grasshopers etc. I often say and its true that they all eat and rest more than their 2 little full time farmer owners.

Please pm me of your interest.

Thanks and have a blessed day!
