Something has gone wrong on me. Temp and humidity has been good,
although my trust in the Flukers is low. Eggs are good unless something
happened in the mail. This is unlikely since they came from 3 different
people. No temp spike occured that I know of. The only common variable
is most were in an LG 9200 with the new style turner.

18 out of 55 eggs with little or no development. I opened 5 others last
night that were at various stages of "not making it"

Oh, no..I'm so sorry! Gee, what on earth could have happened here? Do you really suspect the P.O. or the thermometer accuracy? I'm getting 100% fertility here with the Ameraucana eggs and almost 100% with the Blue Orps, too. And so are other people who are hatching them. Hmm. From three different people, I would say the P.O. probably wasn't the issue on this one.
What is actually left in the bator now?

Speckled, I have 7 Blue Orps, 2 Silvers, 3 Charlottes, & 1 BR from your batch.
So i guess I'm not doing so bad with yours after all. I have 6 of 7 of Jody's
silkies but only 4 of 9 Araucaunas remaining. I've lost 2 of the 3 of your
BRs

I've candled all the remaining eggs in the bator. I'm at day
20 for yours and Jody's, day 21 for the Delawares.

Something must have happened in the first few days to prevent development.
The pics look like they are infertile but not in person. They look like
they started but stopped at day 5 or so.

We had a horrible hatch on the Campines (2 of 12) and mixed (3 of 12)
from last weekend.

Observations:
I relied too much on the Flukers Thermo/Hygrometers.
I opened the bator WAY too many times to adjust humidity, reposition
thermometers, and infrared test the eggs.

Maybe my expectations were just too high after having a few good
hatches from my Leghorn mutts. Trying to balance 3 bators full of eggs
at the same time was probably stupid too.

Oh, that little white thing is not a bator. It's an egg cooker. I have
a twisted sense of humor.

What day are you at on your eggs Katy? I'm sure you have a post
that I'll read soon. Right now I was too busy crying in my Cherrios.

I JUST WANT TO BE VERY CLEAR THAT WHATEVER MY PROBLEM
HERE IS IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CYNTHIA'S OR JODY'S EGGS.
IT BOTHERS ME THAT I SCREWED UP SUCH GOOD EGGS.
I HOPE THEY WILL BOTH SELL ME EGGS WHEN I NEED THEM AND
NOT THINK OF ME AS THE EGG KILLER (OR COOKER).

MY LAST TWO BATCHES WERE EBAY PURCHASES SO I REALLY
WASN'T TOO CONCERNED.

Sorry for shouting.

You have nothing to apologize for, Don! Nothing at all. And whenever I have eggs available, I'll surely let you have more. Sounds like you do have quite a few left, though, so just hang in and I bet you'll get some sweet little babies on Day 21.
