My coop is going up yea. The whole build is 23 by 48. It will hold 8 different breeds in 10 by 12 pen with a walkway in the middle. The whole pen will be covered with tin. I am tired of wet chickens. I got along way to go. The red barn will hold my feed and brooder and bators. I will keep pic coming.

That will be impressive when it is done, and I thought that mine was big. So why did you decide to make breeder pens inside instead of what seems to be the more common outdoor pens? It seems like it would not be cost effective just to prevent wet birds. I am not criticizing in anyway I was just curious because like I said most people just make outdoor pens.
I wish I got as much done as you in a couple days, it seemed to take forever for me to build mine.

I would have to cover them anyway do to hawks. But I really do hate my birds getting wet. It never fails when it rain they all come out and stand in it. Frizzle are not as cute wet. lol. I went to a big breeder house and he had is coops/runs this way and I loved it. Ga red clay is no fun when it rains.

We have the same clay here in Va.. i hate it, it stains EVERYTHING!! Nice coop plans... I'm jealous too! lol. CONGRATS!!!

Each coop will hold 8 birds that 15 sq feet per bird. That should be good. I was think 6 hen and 2 roo if the roo can get along with out fighting. I have a bunch that are being raised together so I am hoping.
