I just had a brain storm.I'm so excited. (this does not happen often) What if the members of BYC that breed a specific breed or breeds and expect to have birds/chicks/eggs for sale this coming spring..............All post on ONE POST....this way we all would have a list of people who would have birds for sale! I would suggest that we list in the post the following things..................Breed for sale....number of birds for sale.....price per bird/pair/eggs(half doz./dozen).....state you are located in..........shipping or not.......type of payment.....will trade or not..........and Pics...............................I would suggest that we not junk it up with other stuff...(birds wanted, questions to the breeders, etc...) Make it just a list of birds for sale and nothing else.............This way we could all print this out and have a list handy anytime we wanted of WHO HAS WHAT FOR SALE...........I know we have a for sale forum but, this would just be basically a list of birds for sale..(not birds wanted, questions about breeds, other stuff for sale....and so on).......................I just thought it would be nice to have just a list of birds/eggs for sale...Let me know what you all think and if it's ok with the Mods. and everything then I will post the topic under "Breeders Only" or something to that affect.......Thanks , Jeff

I think its a great idea. I for one would LOVE to buy from ppl I could actually keep in touch w/rathther than just hatcheries.

Ameraucana Bantams in Blue/Splash and Black
Nice quality from solid breeding stock. Occasionally cockerals from these have off colored hackles, I'm working towards eradicating that. Currently running a splash roo over one black and two blue hens. These are not laying right now. All birds lay a bluish green egg.

Cochin Bantams in Blue and Black, carrying the Mottling gene
Very good quality, into show quality. No off color featherings have been noted. Currently running a solid black roo over one solid blue pullet, one mottled blue pullet, and one mottled black pullet.

Black Sumatra Bantam
Show quality, excellent tail carriage, gorgeous black, no off colors. Currenlty running one rooster over one hen and two pullets.

Standard Ameraucana in Blue and Black
Very good quality, occasional odd colors have been noted. Parent stock from Dipsy Doodle Doo on this site. Not very good layers, but beautiful birds. Currenlty running a black roo over three blue and two black pullets. All birds lay a bluish green egg.

Extras will be included when available.

Blue Orpingtons, Buff Orpingtons and Silver Spangled Hamburg Bantams

Blue Orpingtons are from various sources such as Catalupa Farms, Sandhill Preservation and these are from exhibition lines. We have a blue rooster that placed in his homestate in WI.

Buff Orpingtons were from Ideal and Meyer Hatcheries...not show exhibit type birds. Great egg layers and broody moms.

Silver Spangled Hamburgs were bought directly from Jim LeGuenre out in OR and he is a master breeder of Hamburg Bantams for over 20 years and did well in shows. The Hamburgs I have are in very limited supply since I only now have three and been trying to increase the numbers of chicks......we are presently having problems with chicks dying in hatches and need to look for a different rooster of different lines to see if it is a problem. If we are still having problems hatching them out, then it may be due to our incubation methods which we are doing it by Hovabators. Good layers of white eggs.

Started/day olds up to a month old depending on shipping: $5.00 each, straight run

Two to three month old pullets: $15.00

Cockerals of any age prices ranges from five to fifteen dollars and occasionally free when purchase a trio or quad of pullets/hens

Eggs: 12.00 a doz and we can mix and match egg breeds and ten dollars shipping in lower 48 states.

NO NPIP certificate on my stock however ALL my birds were bought directly from reputable breeders that have NPIP flock or bought from NPIP breeders.

Shipping is available on live birds but at mercy at the Post Office's whims whenever they want to ship the birds or not.

Pictures available. Located in Decatur, IL.

<state you are located in>

It would be super if this could be in the first line of all ads,
its one of the most important things,
you wouldn't have to read thru a whole ad and <then> find out its in Texas,
or 2500 miles from you.
