Here is my odd colored Blue Orpington baby-hey, Julie, what color blue will this one be? It was the one that looked mottled at a few days old. Sorry about the odd grainy photos-the light in that bsmt bathroom is awful!

Then, just various Ameraucana babies:

This last one was the very light baby that almost looked splash, but is feathering out blue, like we all decided it would when I consulted the experts:

They started out sort of turquoise blue and faded in color to light blue/green and sometimes almost a minty color. In daylight they do look blue and against my steel gray house, they usually look more blue than green. Here is the very first egg from my girls, and it had the deepest color of any of them I've gotten. The second one is my other Ameraucana girl's egg.

Cynthia, I was thinking when i saw the pictures on the other board that the one with so much white on it was a black, but in this picture is looks like a blue, is that right or am I confused on which chick it is. The light blue is pretty. Pink toes but gray looking legs.

That is interesting. I will be looking for the pictures as it grows to see what happens
