If you don't have alot of money, there are ways to build an incubator out of other peoples trash.
Here's some ideas that I found and welcome anyone elses ideas to help make a free incubator.
First is a heater. I found that a small element from a discarded electric stove is perfect when wired to 130 volts VS the required 220 volts. This produces half of the heat of what was normally designed.
Second is the thermostat to control the heat. An old electric water heater had two electronic thermostats on every one to control this. Just check the temperature rating before using these. Most are rated from 90 degrees to 170 degrees and are adjustable. You will need to adjust the temperature according to your finds and basic size of your insulated incubator which an old refrigerator is the best because it is already made to retain a steady temperature.
Forced air incubation has many options too since there are many things that have fans. You will need to need a big enough fan to circulate the air according to the size of your free bator.
I have yet to find a throw away system for a good automatic turner. An old turner motor from a grill is great but I can't find a good timer to turn them on a regular basis.

To solve your free turner motor, look no farther than your washing machine. The selector switch is usually just a stepper motor and can be setup to use as a turner motor. Now the junkyards are full of old washing machines so finding a motor should be relatively simple.

Also for a heating coil, dont forget the little 110v space heaters. Most are rated for 1500w at full power. The heating element is actually two elements in one. One element rated at 600w for low heat and the other element rated at 900w for high heat. Together they are rated at 1500w. Since its usually one or the other heating elements that burns out, a discarded space heater can be a source of a heating element, a thermostat, and a fan. Or you can buy a new one for $15 bucks at walmart and not have to scrounge around in the junkyard or go dumpster diving.

For a cabinet style incubator. look for someone remodeling a kitchen. small base cabinets, or even the top cabinets can easily be modified for use as a cabinet incubator.

Lets see, you now have heater, thermostat, fan, turner motor and cabinet. Now all you need are the eggs, and you can probably source these for free also if you are not picky about breeds. You will also need a pan to hold water for humidity control, (tupperware works great), A 1gal paint can to mount the heating element and fan in to prevent burning up your cabinet. A few electrical switches, a little wire ( You did pull and save the wire out of the washing machine when you stole the stepper motor didnt you) and a case of a certain cold beverage to convince me to come over and put it together for you. Thats about as free as it gets.

I have a home-made one I been tinkering with. I have trouble keeping a steady temp with the water heater stat.It either goes too high or too low. I was wondering if I could use one of those programable house thermostats and set it for on @ 99 then off @101. not for sure but still tinkering. Will

Digital house thermostats dont go that high an they need a relay to run that kind of amperage. If you move the hot water heater thermostat closer (real close) to your heater it will keep a more stable temp. It takes a lot to explain why so Ill just say try it, it does work.

Oh no, THAT language I speak great! Its the language of voltage and wiring and such that I don't understand.

Ditto! I have no clue how to do any of that type of stuff. I AM great at dumpster diving tho.
