My Maude can lay some seriously big eggs...

This one is in my 8 year old DD's tiny hand and is being compared to one of my leghorns small white eggs.

Here it is compared to my other chickens' eggs.

The big yolks inside.

Big, but that one was actually small when compared to this one (which is in my big hand, not DD's tiny hand!)

Compared to a "large" brown egg.

The carton wouldn't even begin to close!

Post your big egg pics, I'd love to see them!

I've posted mine a few times before. I had this EE hen that laid 70-80g eggs when she first started laying. I couldn't close the cartons. Here's 3 of them in a xlarge size egg carton.

She hatched on St. Patrick's Day of this year, so she is almost 8 months old. I put her on a restricted diet when she was 3 weeks old. Of all my spring pullets she started laying eggs 1st. Go figure.

Here's our one and only big egg (so far)
It weighed 90g from our Isa Brown,
she laid it the second week she started laying,
it is compared with the other girls egg of 56g.(another Isa Brown)

It was a double yolker - boo, so should have taken a photo of it!
