Due to the long molt and the cold winter, I was forced to buy eggs. I got the best store bought eggs available, Cage-free Organic. Here is one of my girl's eggs side by side with one of the store bought eggs. Which one would you want to eat?

I know! Even though my silkies eggs are half the size of the store bought organic large . . . the yolks are the same size!
 
yeah, this egg wasn't too big, since she just finished her molt, but the yolk is huge and soooo orange. btw - the store bought egg tasted bland. I guess that poor chicken didn't get bugs with that "vegetarian diet."
