What breed should get? Seems that the silver is even rarer than the coronation. Would there be a market for the silver sussex and would it be as strong? Just curious. I have decided I am going to get one or both. Just looking for a little feedback.

I've heard of those, but never seen one. Got pics?

While I do find the silver and coronation sussex very attractive birds, in no way shape or form are they worth that kind of money. I think Greenfire farms should be ashamed of themselves for what they continue to do. I understand this stock was imported, but I also I have seen the number of people who have posted here that their birds were in one way or another purchased from this place, and I whole heartedly believe that this isn't about the birds, but the money. Guess you could call it a difference in opinion, but for eggs....seriously, no one in their right mind would pay that kind of money to have a preverbal "shot" at having one of these birds. This just turns my stomach.

I have got to be honest, i would love to have them for several reasons, primarily, i like the rarity of the breed, with that comes demand, so that being said, I would also like to profit from them. While I agree the price for chicks is extremely high, it is no different than any other rare sought after animal, plant or object. I whole heartedly agree people must be off their proverbial rockers to pay $300 for eggs, but as long as there are people willing to pay that then thats what they will cost. It should be noted that these eggs start on ebay at $.99 and get bid up to the hundreds. Why not make good money on them?

I appreciate your viewpoint. I think Im crazy for considering buying them, but I also think that in the next few years I will come to appreciate my temporary insanity.
