I was able to get 3 beautiful and healthy NH this morning to add to my 6 RIR and 6 BA. They are 29 weeks, so I'm guessing they'll lay about anytime? the owner (had several breeds) thought they had laid maybe 1 already, not sure.

Anything I need to know about this breed that would be different from what I have?

Thanks, everyone here has been so helpful so far.

Well first they were bred solely from Rhode Island Reds.
The breed name is New Hampshire. (no red in there name)

They lay a dark to light brown egg.
For the most part they should be a lot like your Rhode Island Reds.

My NHR's started laying early compared to the BO's and EE's - very friendly girls (except Ginger). They tend to rule the roost over the others, but they are very sweet and have easy temperaments.

No problem, but they are listed here on BYC under breeds as NH Reds.
