I cleaned out the quail pen today since it was a half-way decent day out. Laid some fresh hay in the pen for some extra warmth and they just absolutely love it.

It looks like their having fun in that hay. I'm waiting for a nice day as well so i can clean the quail pen and put wood shavings down, do you think they like the hay better?

Birdman18, I really don't know the answer to that because I have not used shavings. Rains down here to much for that. Tried that for for my chicks for about a week and it seemed that I was shoveling shavings every day. Wet hay is easier to clean up.
