Anyone out there have information on "home made" (DIY) feeders & watering items? I would much prefer the DIY method versus any store bought items. Any photo's or plans appreciated. I hope this is being posted properly???

I took a five gallon bucket, and drilled eight evenly spaced holes around the bottom, so the bottom of the hole is about 2" off the bottom of the bucket. The top fits loosely and with a piece of chain and a hook, I was set. I just add some feed every morning.

I bought a lot of 25 of those green buckets with lids for a buck a piece off of Craig's list. They used to hold mustard and were all fairly clean when I got them. I also use them for chick feed, Diatomaceous earth, oats, chick and chicken scratch, and anything else i get in a 50 pound bag. 2 buckets hold 50 pounds of anything...

As for homemade watering systems, I built a rainwater collection system for the roof of the run...
