FEEDERS/WATERING-- for inside/outside coops/runs

Hi Henny Penny,
Can you give us a close up shot of the feed tray?

I'd like to know how deep the tray is, and if they spill a lot out. If so, would making the sides and the front of the feed tray higher help?

Here is the bottom of the feeder, they can pull the food out and they do sometimes so you may be able to think of something differant to do so they won`t b

I'm just building mine today. Similar to yours. I think I'm going to bring the sides of the feed box up higher, and the front up higher. (So the food isn't even with the top of the feeder tray.

I'm also going to raise mine about 10-12" off the ground, so it's about even with their backs. Shouldn't loose as much food that way.

Thanks for the pics!

I don't have any pics of it but My waterer is a 5 gallon bottle the refillable kind and a 3" x 4"L of PVC pipe and a oil pan (the kind from wal-mart) and 2 bungie cords

Drill hole big enough to hold the cords to the oil pan and water bottle into the oil pan then take a saw (Jig saw works best) and cut 2 little triangles in the PVC at one end only about an inch high no more then that set itinto the bottom of the oil pan and place the water bottle on top neck down into the PVC and run the bungies up and over the bottle see if it moves if it does get smaller bungies fill the bottle with water place PVC onto the bottle then place the oil pan ontop and flip at site then bungie there you go one bottle waterer that should give you at least a few days before you will need to fill it again (depending on the size of your flock.
