My son was a terrible student the entire time he was in school. He happens to be brilliant and managed to get by getting A's on tests. His last school counselor told me once that he couldn't come back to school there because "We don't harbor losers". Ok, I home schooled him the last year, and this year he is attending the local community college.
Today, he went to school early to hang with friends and he was in the Technology lab. Apparently this woman works there now and she was having a MAJOR computer problem. He went up, asked what was wrong, spent the hour it took to fix it for her. She was very thankful. This is how the conversation went:
Him: "Remember me? You told my mom I was a loser"
Her: Blank stare.
Him: Next time you think about telling someone their kid is a loser, just don't, ok? Just don't.
He walked away and left her with her mouth hanging open.
I am very glad he did what he did instead of planting a back door trojan in her computer
