I didn't want to put this under "Emergencies/Diseases" because it's neither. I'm wondering if maybe the feathers around his eye rub on it.
He keeps his right eye open and looks alert. He can open his left eye but seems to like to keep it squinted or closed. I don't know if it's a
behavioral thing or like I said, feathers rubbing on his eye. He appears healthy and there is no swelling. Wondering if any of you have seen this in a bird before?

He is going for a sexy look, like "hey there lady, I am so studdly I have to wink at all times...."

Or it could be the feathers lol. Or he could have poked it on something. My chicken Popeye got poked at 3days old and no that her eye is back open it is always squinting too.

Okay, first of all, I will admit it...I clicked on this JUST to see the squinty rooster picture...I have NO IDEA about rooster's eyes..nor could I get close enough to see my rooster's eyes! LOL
But now that I see it, it looks so irritated! I can see your concern! I was gonna be smart and say he was just givin' you the 'stink eye'

...that is what we call it at our house...
Hope you figure it out!!

Vetericyn is safe to spray in their eyes. It is expensive but you can use it on all kinds of wounds. Good stuff to have around.

Vetericyn.com look for it at your feed store or vet supply
