Chickens got a surprise visitor today.

Today I heard some comotion at the chicken tractor. Sounded like an egg song but a little diffferent. I look out the window and my girls were having a country visitor.

We have been seeing turkeys in the area but this was the first time I have seen them in the backyard. It sure gave the girls some excitement.
 
Love it!

We have a flock every spring that swing by in the morning with their chicks, hang out for a bit and then move on. At this time of year, we now have a lone female in the area that can be seen traveling from my in-law's bird feeder (next door) through our woods and on to better feeding grounds. It's funny that they only hang with my chickens when they have their chicks with them.
 
I love it when the turkeys visit us. Scares my rooster into his run. He is afraid of them.

Probably...since turkey chicks are about the size of my full grown hens!!
 
Ha ha, too funny! lol
I've had around 50 turkeys come up to the chickenyard and hang out with the chickens! LOL It was kinda funny! lol
