A bunch of ducks and some chickens

The first time I've seen, Thomas attempted to mate with Wanda, a couple days ago. Like with the other muscovy girls, he's too small, so he can't quite reach the right spot reliably. After a couple minutes, Wanda had enough of his failures and started attacking him. 😅

Emmylou is already sitting, not even laying for two weeks. Seems like she's trying to speedrun everything. (I was not able to source any indian runner eggs in time, so) I gave her three of Wanda's egg, we'll see if Thomas managed to get the job done at anytime.

I've decided to give Anni, two of Dani's and two of Bernie's eggs, a week ago. It seemed like they weren't properly under her some of the time, but I candled them yesterday and all are developing nicely. We'll see how she continues for the next 3 weeks.

Siobhan's hinny boys are already harassing adult girls (mostly Dani).

Already big boys at just over 10 weeks old.

Emmy's hinnies are growth spurting now. Almost 5 weeks old. The two boys are on the right.

With mum before she started sitting.

Chonker boy.

Boring Update
I gave Emmy another of Wanda's (freshly laid) egg the next day. I candled them a couple of days ago and all 4 are developing. Looks like Thomas got the job done, he's loves those muscovies. (Especially when they're splashing/bathing in the pools, he gets excited and can't help but jump in and mount them.) Persistence pays off. It'll be interesting to see what these hinnies will look like, will they be harlequin with more white(?).

Anni is still sitting on her four eggs. The pullets continue to lay eggs next to her. She still runs out of her nest, scared, when I attempt to collect the chicken eggs every other day.

Esme is sitting again (on nothing). She laid for three weeks this time. I have made no attempt to break her and I won't be giving her eggs to hatch. Siobhan has been on break for a bit over a week after being half-assed broody again. She laid for two weeks.

Siobhan's hinny girl, looks nothing like his bro in previous post. 11 weeks old here. Does quack, but also surprisingly much more chill than any of her hatchmates, hinny or otherwise.

The remaining duck(ling) from Esme's hatch, 13 weeks here. Looks just like his dad, except his legs aren't as orange and he has a dark bill.
