Just curious if anyone here thinks this is as freaking cool as me????

I'm not into steampunk, but think it's kinda cool. PBS did a special on it a couple years ago. Piqued my interest. I'd like to have some of the refurbished electronics. Reminds me of sci fi from the 60's & 70's; a la "20,000 Leagues under the Sea".

Anyway it sure does look wierd well maybe even freakish, sorry just an opinion from a normal person LOL.

Steampunk is art, that combines the old-fashioned romanticism of the 19th century with technology of the 20th century. Think Jules Verne. The art is not limited to just items sitting on a table or hanging on a wall, but to musical instruments, electronics, clothing, furniture. Lots of metals. Last year after I saw the PBS special I was googling it and found a site where a steampunk artist was displaying and selling steampunked(rebuilt) computer keyboards for $5K to $12k. Beautiful work.

Its more just for fun .. Today is the first time ive heard of it a friend invited me to a party.. I like to get to dressed up and be someone else for the night... I doubt ill be heading to the feed store in it anytime soon though.. LOL Might get some funny looks...

Well at least when you put it that way it does sound kinda cool to just let your hair down and goof off with it for a bit. But please no feed store visits in that get-up LOL, have fun................
