Just thought I'd post some pictures of our first flock of chickens ever! We got 12 assorted breeds on May 7th, and they are now 2 months old. They are so much fun, we're having a great time!
I started another thread in the Coop Design forum as well showing my construction of our coop. You can see it here:

For chickens, we have:
- 1 buff orpington
- 1 barred rock
- 1 brown leghorn
- 2 Rhode Island Reds
- 2 silver laced wyandottes
- 2 golden laced wyandottes
- 2 light brahmas
- 1 black australop
Here are some pics from when they were just a few days old ....
I was working like crazy to get the coop done so I could move them outside. This is when I first put them out to the coop!
And now here they are at 2 months old. We let them free-range when we're home. They love roaming the woods eating bugs, spiders, ants, moths - whatever they can chase down. I'm going to start building a run soon.
